The Lymphatic System is a network of very delicate lymph vessels, lymph nodes and lymph ducts that produce and transport lymph fluid from tissues to the bloodstream.
This is the primary structure of the immune system. Mostly people are familiar with the body’s vessel system that carries blood to and from the tissues, but few understand there is another equally vital system of vessels that removes cell wastes, proteins, excess fluid, viruses, toxins and bacteria.
The lymphatic system aids the immune system in removing and destroying waste, debris, dead blood cells, pathogens, toxins. The lymphatic system absorbs fats and fat-soluble vitamins from the digestive system and delivers these nutrients to the cells of the body where they are used by the cells. The lymphatic system also removes excess fluid, and waste products from the interstitial spaces between the cells.
